Thermidor Releasing
Thermidor Releasing is designed by its two principals (James Fotopoulos, Joe
Carducci) to produce film and video. The first production is directed by James from
a screenplay by
Raymond Pettibon.  The film is called, "Untitled (Thanks. Get In...)" It
was shot in Los Angeles, November 2007. The second Thermidor production will be
based on a script by Carducci called, "Epsilon Indi," and will be directed by
Fotopoulos.

Fotopoulos and Carducci have worked together since James sent Joe a tape of his
first feature film, Zero (1997), which was released by Carducci's company Provisional
in 2000, and subsequently by Facets. (Provisional also released four 1989 Pettibon
films on tape in the mid-nineties.)

Thermidor is named for a record label Carducci ran with Jon Boshard in Berkeley,
California in the early eighties.  It has nothing to do with the month in the French
Revolutionary calendar forever after associated with the blood-soaked reaction that
ended the Enlightenment.
